Research: Vocabulay (Update)

 Adding to the vocab list. We learned a lot of new words these past few days.  Term Definition 3 Key Ideas 10. Research: Mise en Scene

 Today we learned about Mise en scene and all the different aspects of it. The arrangement of scenery and stage assets in a play is known as mise en scene. Although mise en scene is a French word that means setting the stage, it involves much more than that like lighting, set designs, and actors. Here, we did a poster of all the different points of mise en scene, their definition, and their importance. This information would help us with our opening sequence.

Research: Genre Lighting Mindmap Poster

The genre of our intended film is a spy thriller. The reason we picked this genre is that it has a lot of suspense, and dim lighting, and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Two themes associated with spy thrillers are espionage and you can never retire, not really. Today we talked about different lighting in a film and the importance/reason of them. I did light direction and lighting set-up for 3- point lighting.  

Research: Vocabulary on Editing

 Here are some vocab words from different types of editing that we research today. We found some key ideas for each and I feel as though that would help us to decide upon how we want to edit our opening sequence. We also research what an editor is and what their important job is in the film industry.  Term Definition 3 Key Ideas 1. Editor A person who is in charge of and determines the final content of a text, particularly a newspaper or magazine.   Editors offer comments to improve the product and suggest titles and headlines.   2. Continuity Editing The process of editing together different but related shots to give viewers the experience of a consistent story in both time and space.   An example of this would be a  shot of someone tossing a ball can be edited to show two different view. 3.
