Pre-Planning: Lighting in Film

Image
Here is some research on different aspects of lighting in the film. We found another movie in the genre of spy thriller and we did some more research on points like light quality and the color of the lighting and how these things help outline what kind of movie or even the scene is tryna to communicate to the audience. Like dim lighting is to bring out the more emotional side of a movie or how warm lighting gives off a more happy feel to a scene in a movie.

Pre-Production: Camerawork Preliminary Exercise - Camera Framing

Camera framing is the position and the placement of the subjects in the shots. What filmmakers take into consideration when framing a shot is the size of it, the relationships between the characters or camera, and the balance of the frame.  Camera Shot Framing Techniques — Frame Your Shots like a Pro [Video] (studiobinder.com)

The camera shot angle specifies where the camera will be placed to take a picture. The viewer's view of the scene is impacted by the camera's position in relation to the subjects. To increase the cinematic effect and emotions, a scene might be shot from many camera angles at the same time.  https://www.studiobinder.com/blog/ultimate-guide-to-camera-shots/#camera-angles

Overall, they help create stories.  Definitive Guide to Camera Shots: Every Shot Size Listed and Explained (studiobinder.com)

Pre-Production: Group Partners & Group Logo (UPDATE)

Image
We added new partners to our group. We asked them if we should change the group logo but they said it was fine. We didn't change the name either so it's still KB Studios and now we have 3 groups members in total.

Pre-Production: Group Logo

Image
KB STUDIOS  The way my partner and I came up with our group logo was by taking the first letters of our names, Kristina and Brianna, and attaching studios at the end to make it seems more official. We came up with this name because we both were in 3D Studio Art in 11th grade together and decide that we wanted to use the studio because of the class. We create our logo using this website called Canva. We used the colors red, black, and white to decorate the logo. These colors give the logo an eerie look and the red resembles blood and suspense, which is the look we're going for since our two-minute film opening's genre is a thriller.
